Ordered the Centric kit from RockAuto. Pads and rotors all the way around.

The OEM brakes were done for. Pads were down to the squeal tabs and rotors were thin AF. It’s amazing what a difference it made. Braking is smooth and quiet. No squealing, no shaking, nada. My friend and I put them on using his shop and his new, fancy lift.

The electronic parking brake mechanism required some Googling in order to do the rear brakes but it ended up being pretty easy to remove.

Yay?

Wow, do you have your own lift?
And I’ve heard good things about Centric, need to change my rear brakes soon they’ve started to squeal.

I don’t have the electronic e brake on my 3, but I have noticed that it eats rear brake pads much faster than the front.  Is this something you have noticed on your 6?  I haven’t had to touch the fronts on my 3, but I’ve done the rear pads twice and rotors once.

Brakes are so satisfying, and not difficult as DIY jobs go.

Man, that is a nice lift.

Centric’s premium rotors are good parts.

Yep! My rears were way more worn than the fronts. We put brakes on my wife’s 2013 CX-5 as well and its rears were more worn, too.

I heard that they put rear bias into the brake proportioning, without uprating the brakes out back to compensate.  It is a little annoying but not hard to change them.  I have one that still sticks from time to time.  I replaced everything except the caliper and caliper bracket.  I might have to go that far if it persists.
